Almost all organisations use Microsoft Excel as a means of producing and distributing reports. However, as the information on these reports usually needs to be sourced from data held within business applications, the report authors will often spend much time re-keying data into the spreadsheet, or manipulate data from (for example) the trial balance.
Kypera XLR removes the need for re-keying or time-consuming manipulation of data by allowing data to be automatically extracted and placed into cells on the spreadsheet. Once this has been done for the first time, the spreadsheet can be saved and reopened later, with the option to update the data contained within it.
By making judicious use of Microsoft Excel formulas, extracted data can be dependent on other cells within the spreadsheet (for example a cell containing the period required for the report) so that once a report has been created it can be used again and again.
Additionally, Kypera XLR allows authorised users to drill into and around the data on the report to break it down by (say) cost centre, sales type, product and project, right down to individual transaction level.
